Melissa & Chris: Wedding at First United Methodist Church of Winter Park

I shot Melissa and Chris’ engagement at the beginning of the year at Rollings College and we had a blast. I knew that their wedding would be a big party, but I had no idea what I was in store for. I wont give details, but lets just say that it lived up to all the anticipation.

My Thoughts

For me, photography is about capturing real life, in real time without interfering with or directing the events that are happening in front of me, whether I’m photographing a wedding or just out and about in the street. I enjoy the unpredictability and the challenges of working in this way. Without direction, I have to rely on skill. experience and my ’eye’ to find interesting pictures. Sure, there will be times in which you may want formal, traditional photographs but for the rest of the day I like to stay out of the way, unobtrusive and blend into the crowd.
